About
Now, a very brief rest of the story.
I am a husband, married thirty-seven years, father of four, youngest still in college, grandfather of ten. I have been self-employed since 1985, and I am a Clockmaker by trade. I am a former Special Operations C-130 pilot for the U.S. Air Force and a graduate of Florida State University. I grew up primarily in South Florida.
I have had a computer in the home since 1988 and have seen the Internet’s “dark side” grow ever darker through the years. Because of my own grandchildren I realized the need for Internet Safety materials aimed at parents.
Since 2004 I have been writing Internet Safety materials, offering Internet Safety Power Point presentations, and developing this website. Over the years I have read well over 10,000 Internet Safety related news articles, research reports, surveys, and the like, and the one constant I have found is that the situation is only getting worse. The threat to families, from the Internet, is greater today than it was five years ago. The world is out to rip your kids from the safety and protection of the family. You, moms and dads must be involved in this battle for the heart and soul of your kids.
A final word to parents: be the parent, not your kids friend. No matter what it takes, protect your children from the dangers of the world. Your children may know more about technology, but you know more about Life.
Take Courage My Friend.
